"新加坡总人口华人占76.9%。华裔多信奉佛教，马来语为国语，英语，华语为官方语言。

新加坡人十分讲究礼貌礼节，服务质量很高。新加坡华裔在礼仪方面和我国相似，而且还保留了中国古代传统，比如两人见面时，相互作揖。通常的见面礼节是鞠躬、握手。印度血统人仍保持印度的礼节和习俗，妇女额头上点着檀香红点。男人扎白色腰带，见面时合十致意。马来血统、巴基斯坦血统的人按伊斯兰教的礼节行事。

华裔新加坡人信奉佛教，而且很虔诚。他们喜欢在室内诵经，诵经的时候不可以被打扰。

在新加坡随地吐痰、扔弃物都要受到法律制裁。
